The R14 – R17 X reach trucks have an exceptional design that significantly increases performance, driving comfort and safety. They are suitable for particularly efficient handling of loads up to 1.7 tonnes and a working height of over 11.5 metres in narrow racking aisles. By placing the battery under the cab, the driver has twice as much space and the visibility area through the mast has also doubled compared to conventional reach trucks thanks to a new mast concept. The mast is firmly attached to the chassis. Instead, a special fork carriage takes over the pushing movement. This design ensures particularly stable load handling. The position of the battery also keeps the centre of gravity very low, which results in high residual capacities. The special design with extremely short push travels enables a smaller aisle width in the racking warehouse.
The ultra-wide lift masts of the R14 – R17 X trucks, narrow mast profiles and the seat positioned close to the mast offer the best all-round visibility. An optional panoramic armoured glass roof also allows a clear view of the load upwards. An automatic parking brake increases safety, for example when stopping on ramps or inclines. The Linde Curve Assist system supports drivers in curves by adjusting the speed proportionally. Four independent braking systems bring the trucks to a halt as quickly as they do safely in any situation. Numerous additional features improve operational safety. For example, a mast-mounted camera system provides the driver with a permanent view of the load.
The improved all-round visibility thanks to the wide lift masts and the intuitive Linde Load Control mast control make precise load handling easy and comfortable. The innovative vehicle design with the lowered battery doubles the space available in the driver’s workplace. All controls for driving and mast functions are ergonomically integrated into the armrests of the driver’s seat and are individually adjustable. The seat can optionally be rotated by 10° and the steering resistance of the controls can be individually adjusted. The interaction of the individual elements and the very generous space allow particularly efficient and fatigue-free work.
The unique design of the R14 – R17 X series allows for a compact chassis with a short wheelbase. This gives the trucks high manoeuvrability and they require less space than normal reach trucks when handling loads. The short reach, the unique mast visibility and the standard side shift for the forks also ensure higher handling performance. With the battery located low under the operator’s workplace and the mast firmly connected to the chassis, the trucks have a large residual load capacity and high stability. Thanks to dual pedal steering and Linde Load Control, the trucks can be manoeuvred more quickly and safely.
Easy access to the essential service components makes these Linde reach trucks particularly quick and uncomplicated to service. By reading out all vehicle data via the CAN bus system, the service technician receives information about the condition of the electronics and mechanics. The battery can be easily replaced with a low-lift truck or the optional exchange stand. The four-way reach trucks R20 – R25 F are specially designed for transporting particularly long objects in narrow aisles. For this purpose, they can move not only forwards and backwards, but also sideways in both directions. Thanks to their tines, which can be adjusted to a width of up to two metres, even extra-long loads can be transported and stacked safely. With lifting heights of up to nine and a half metres, they are also suitable for use in high-bay warehouses. Even high payloads of up to 2,500 kg can be easily handled by the trucks of the R20 – R25 F series. This makes them particularly suitable for long and heavy loads, such as steel girders and wooden beams in the construction and timber industries, but also for use on production lines and in the logistics sector.
The R20 – R25 F four-way forklifts have an automatic parking brake that engages when the operator dismounts, enabling safe stops on ramps and inclines. Precise braking in any driving situation is ensured by the combination of electromagnetic brake on the drive wheel and hydraulic brake on the right tandem load wheel. A protective screen made of high-strength, transparent polycarbonate reliably protects the driver from falling loads while providing all-round visibility. The end position damping gently reduces the end speed during mast feed and lift as soon as the maximum lift height or maximum feed is reached. In addition, with the appropriate additional function, the truck automatically switches to creep speed above a certain lift height so that loads can be safely deposited and picked up. Linde Curve Assist proportionally adjusts the truck’s speed when cornering.
The Linde R20 – R25 F forklift trucks are designed around the ergonomic requirements of the driver to ensure that work is as fatigue-free as possible. With individual adjustment options for the driver’s seat, the edien console and the floor panel height, drivers can further increase their comfort. Intuitive and ergonomically arranged controls ensure effective work, while a low cab entrance with grab handle makes it easier to get in and out.
The four-way reach trucks R20 – R25 F combine the features of straddle stackers, counterbalance trucks, reach trucks and sideloaders in their versatility. The intuitive 360° steering offers optimum manoeuvrability. The optional manually or hydraulically adjustable fork spacing allows high flexibility when handling wide and long loads as well as standard pallets. Fast lift and travel speeds combined with safety features such as end-position cushioning and load and lift height indicators speed up precise handling in the smallest of spaces. The low centre of gravity of the truck design ensures high residual capacities. The energy-saving three-phase AC technology enables maximum handling performance. The most efficient solution can be selected from the battery range, which is graded according to the required power. This means that the truck is precisely matched to the individual operating requirements on site.
For the smoothest and quickest maintenance possible, the trucks are equipped with easily accessible components. A service technician can read out all the necessary vehicle data centrally via the vehicle display. The hoist and three-phase drive motors are maintenance-free. In the area of material transport, there are many challenges, but also new opportunities. To master these, the material flow must be planned quickly and precisely. This is only possible with comprehensive advice.
The innovative shelf collision protection! Replaces the driver’s eyes at ground level and brakes the reach truck before it collides with the rack. This assistance system relieves the driver and prevents accidents with rack columns and goods, increases safety and saves repair costs.
One tool for all functions! The Linde multifunction lever makes operating the R10 – R25 reach trucks a breeze. Its unusual shape as a counterpart to the hand enables seamless merging of driver and vehicle, resulting in safe, easy and efficient operation.
All models are particularly economical to service thanks to low-maintenance components and long service intervals. You can choose the right truck for your requirements from a wide range of products. Depending on the model, the mast heights range up to around 14 meters and the load capacity up to 2.5 tons.
Assistance systems
Linde reach trucks support the driver with appropriate displays and assistance systems. This makes load handling safer and more efficient at the same time. For example, the Linde Curve Assist driving assistance system automatically adjusts the speed in curves. Displays of load weight and lift height provide the driver with the information needed to transport and stack loads safely while working at high speeds. Automated lifting movements, such as end-position damping or a height-dependent travel speed, pay additional dividends in terms of safety and efficiency.
More visibility for more safety
An unrestricted view of the loads and the surroundings is a basic requirement for safe working with forklifts. To ensure that this is also the case in confined spaces, Linde has designed its reach trucks to optimize visibility and equipped them with appropriate aids. For example, a new mast concept has doubled the visibility area of the R14 – R17 X series trucks. An optional bulletproof glass roof allows a view through the cab roof while maintaining a high level of safety. For very unclear handling situations, there is also the option of using a mast camera.
Work comfortably
An ergonomic workplace makes everyday work easier for forklift drivers and increases their efficiency, as they tire significantly later. To this end, Linde forklifts are designed around ergonomic requirements, starting with the lowest possible entry and a vibration-decoupled chassis through to an air-cushioned driver’s seat that adapts to the driver’s weight (R14 – R20 G series). Linde engineers have also been able to further optimize the available space in the truck through an innovative vehicle design. In addition, many controls and the seat can be adapted in a variety of ways to meet the individual needs and requirements of the driver.
Fast working games and efficient driving maneuvers
Especially with repetitive processes, seemingly small time savings become clearly noticeable. For this reason, reach trucks from Linde are equipped with adjustable steering, for example. This allows the steering resistance to be individually adjusted to the driver’s habits and the situation requirements. Dual pedal control enables quick changes of direction without having to shift feet. Safety functions, such as automatic adjustment of travel speed in curves, or auxiliary functions, such as centering of the sideshift or horizontal position of the forks, also support operators for fast work cycles.
High up in the warehouse
Logistics space is expensive. This is why the trend towards ever higher racks in warehouses is continuing. This also increases the demand for vehicles for high lift heights. Over the past decade, for example, the proportion of reach trucks with mast heights of over eight meters has increased significantly, and now even 13 meters are not uncommon. As lift heights increase, so do the specific demands on forklift operators, who have to deal with increased mast vibrations and limited visibility. To counter this trend and the associated challenges for drivers and reach trucks, Linde has, for example, developed Dynamic Mast Control to compensate for mast vibrations, implemented numerous visibility optimizations and integrated load displays.
