History
Our company also started out small. No – not “in a garage” , but in a handicraft business with a single employee. Shortly after the Second World War, Nikolaus Durwen founded a small locksmith’s shop in Plaidt, where he mainly produced moulds for pumice stone production. The extraction and processing of the “white gold” from volcanic origin gave the Vordereifel region an economic boom for decades. It boomed!
After his son-in-law Alfred Jungbluth joined the company (1957), he quickly realised that it was no longer possible to work efficiently in the pumice industry without forklift trucks. So from then on, the trained master mechanic took care of the maintenance and repair of the vehicles, which at that time came almost exclusively from the USA and England.
In 1963, the present company was founded, offering sales and service of forklift trucks. Since 1973, Jungbluth has been the exclusive authorised dealer for Linde materials handling technology and in 1988, construction machinery complemented the range. Finally, in 1990, Jungbluth also became the exclusive authorised dealer for Volvo’s variety of construction machinery. And the company continued to grow steadily …
Since then, we have trusted in our strength to tackle new things and break new ground. In recent years, we have expanded our product range to include Sennebogen handling machines and telescopic cranes, Merlo telescopic loaders, Hako cleaning equipment and Multicar equipment carriers.
Today, sales, rental and service of materials handling technology, construction machinery and cleaning technology are the mainstays of the Jungbluth Group. More than 270 highly motivated employees are there for you and your concerns – in the head office as well as in the field. With a nationwide customer service network that includes over 130 experienced service employees.
Trust our will and our ability to offer you the best possible.
The Jungbluth Forklift Museum
They can be admired in a light-flooded pavilion in front of the Jungbluth company headquarters in Kruft: old forklifts collected by the company founder Alfred Jungbluth sen.
The oldest example is a Güldner Hubtrac H3K, built in 1967. It is the 18th forklift built by our partner company Linde!
